Sespel welding gantries
Sespel’s automatic gantry welding system is specialised equipment for welding metal structures. It automates the welding process, significantly improving productivity and weld quality.
The gantry consists of a frame that travels along the workpiece and carries welding torches, wire feeders and control systems. It moves on guideways, ensuring an even distribution of weld spots or seams across the workpiece.
Main gantry system components- Gantry frame — the structure that carries all other system components.
- Welding torches — supply welding wire and shielding gas and perform the welding.
- Wire feeder — automatically feeds welding wire into the torch.
- Control system — controllers, sensors and software for automatic control of the welding process.
- Travel mechanisms — move the gantry frame along the workpiece to ensure uniform welding.
- Support mechanisms — maintain the gantry frame at the required welding height.
