Sespel system for milling and friction stir welding aluminium profiles

Designed by Sespel specialists, this equipment mills and friction stir welds aluminium profiles in alloys АД0, АД1, АД31, АД35, 6063, 6005, 6082 and 6061, with thicknesses from 1.5 to 20 mm.

The profile friction stir welding system is a long-bed machine with a rigid welded frame carrying a beam with hydraulic clamps and a welding unit. The welding unit consists of a longitudinal slide (X axis), a carriage that presses the tool against the workpiece (Z axis) and a spindle.
