On 18 June 2026, Sespel’s second production site hosted an expanded meeting of the regional public council. The event introduced council members to the company’s industrial capabilities and addressed current issues affecting the development of mechanical engineering in the Chuvash Republic.

The meeting was chaired by Sergey Ivanovich Morozov, a member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Marat Rifkatovich Yakushev, Minister of Industry and Energy of the Chuvash Republic. Representatives of regional authorities, industrial company executives and public figures also participated.

The programme included a tour of the second site’s production workshops. Guests were shown the plant’s modern equipment, including high-precision machining centres, friction stir welding systems and automated assembly lines.

Participants showed particular interest in finished products: aluminium semi-trailers, chemical tankers, silos and storage vessels. Company representatives explained how innovative materials and technologies improve product reliability and service life.

The meeting addressed further development of the region’s industrial sector, government support for mechanical engineering companies and the prospects for import substitution in key industries. Participants discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between businesses in Chuvashia and neighbouring regions.

Sergey Ivanovich Morozov emphasised the importance of maintaining and expanding production capacity. He described Sespel as a strong example of a successful private enterprise that actively adopts advanced developments and makes a significant contribution to the country’s technological sovereignty. He also stressed the need to attract young people to industry and develop vocational education.

Minister Marat Rifkatovich Yakushev outlined regional programmes supporting industry and expressed his willingness to assist the company with investment projects aimed at modernising production and increasing export potential.

The meeting produced recommendations for authorities and relevant government departments on improving support for industrial enterprises, along with plans for further cooperation between Sespel and regional organisations.
