Sespel presents innovative bridge structures at a road materials conference in Kazan

On 6 April, Kazan hosted a conference on new materials and technologies for road construction in the Republic of Tatarstan. Sespel participated, with E. G. Petrov, Head of Design Bureau No. 2, presenting modern bridge structures. Participants discussed innovative solutions to improve the reliability and service life of the region’s road infrastructure.
On 6 April 2026, Kazan hosted a specialist conference examining new materials and technologies for road construction in the Republic of Tatarstan. The event brought together leading industry experts, research institutes and industrial companies interested in modernising road infrastructure.
Cheboksary Enterprise Sespel CJSC was a key participant. Evgeny Gennadyevich Petrov, Head of Design Bureau No. 2, presented modern bridge structures. He outlined innovative approaches to designing and manufacturing bridge spans using advanced metal profiles and connections.
The presentation addressed ways to improve load-bearing capacity, resistance to dynamic loads and the service life of bridges. Solutions that reduce material consumption without compromising strength attracted particular interest, especially for bridges exposed to heavy traffic and harsh climates.
Participants noted that introducing innovative materials and technologies into road construction is a priority for the Republic of Tatarstan. Sespel’s experience in complex metal structures could be applied to the reconstruction of existing bridges and construction of new crossings in the region, improving road safety and comfort.
The conference identified further steps for cooperation between research organisations, designers and industrial companies. Sespel’s presentation was well received, and its technical solutions were recommended for closer examination through pilot road construction projects in Tatarstan.
