Foundry

Our foundry produces castings from a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. Modern equipment supports several casting methods, delivering high quality and accuracy.

For the casting methods below, annual production capacity is up to 200 tonnes of cast iron, 20 tonnes of steel and 420 tonnes of aluminium castings

The foundry focuses on small-batch production, adapting flexibly to both standard and custom orders. This advanced facility produces quality castings meeting modern strength, accuracy and durability requirements.

Casting methods used

Expendable sand mould casting uses no-bake mixtures with the AlphaSet process, providing high accuracy for small batches. Permanent mould casting pours molten metal into a metal mould, improving dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Low-pressure casting produces thin-walled and complex components with high accuracy and density. Investment casting provides high precision and minimal machining allowances, reducing subsequent machining.

Materials processed:

  • Carbon steels

used for components requiring high strength and wear resistance.

  • High-alloy steels

offer enhanced corrosion resistance for aggressive environments.

  • Grey cast iron

provides good casting fluidity and vibration damping.

  • Ductile iron

offers improved mechanical properties, including strength and impact toughness.

  • Light non-ferrous alloys (AK12, AMg5)

used where low weight and high corrosion resistance matter, including mechanical engineering and aviation.

Applications:

  • Mechanical engineering: machine and mechanism components
  • Transport industry: truck, trailer and semi-trailer components
  • Energy and petrochemicals: housings, flanges and brackets
  • Construction: supports and connectors

Casting specifications:

  • Cast iron castings (no-bake sand moulds)
