Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov visits Sespel

Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov reviewed the project for welding tank structures for Roscosmos’s Soyuz-5 launch vehicle. The company presented a prototype wheel loader with a hybrid powertrain and electromechanical transmission, as well as its in-house ВМЭД-01 electronically commutated traction motor rated at 120 kW.

The visit concluded with a working meeting with the Head of the Chuvash Republic, covering the regional Industrial Development Fund’s activities and the renewal of production equipment.

“As the region’s federal supervisors, we have already helped renew its public transport fleet. We have discussed where additional financial support would be most useful, primarily replacing the region’s ageing lifts. We expect to allocate up to one billion rubles and have already identified potential funding sources. We will work through this issue within the Government of the Russian Federation,” concluded Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

Its specialists designed and manufactured a welding system comprising three aluminium alloy friction stir welding machines, now used to weld tank structures for the Soyuz-5 launch vehicle.
